Extraction ended up winning Best Production Design. Can’t say I wasn’t hoping for more, but hey, this is just the beginning of this films life. As soon as we’re finished with the final stereo mix Extraction will be sent out to festivals, beamed through the internet tubes, and broadcast throughout the multiverse. Prepare yourself. The SCADemys is an annual award show hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design. All senior thesis films from the past year (usually around 120 in total) are judged on categories similar to any other film awards show: Best Screenplay, Best Director, etc… Extraction has been nominated for the following: Last night was the screening for the nominees. In total, there was over 5 hours of back to back movies. I was there for about 3 hours and I saw a lot of good short films, so we’re in for some competition. I was also nominated for Best Editing for Reflection, a short film I collaborated on with our friends at Escape Entertainment. Tonight we find out who the winners are. Keep your fingers crossed! |
